About the role:
We are looking for an HR Associate to provide a range of administrative and coordination services to the UK HR team and act as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers across all supported UK sites. You will be responsible for administering Workday, our HRIS System. You will also be responsible for managing key processes for UK Border agency sponsor license and Business Insurances (Private Medical; Group Income Protection; Group Life Assurance) on behalf of the UK sites.
Your responsibilities:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, policy guidance, and best practices for managers and employees.
2. Manage and ensure accuracy of HR data in Workday, including inputting changes, running and analysing reports, managing system issues and creating system tickets for UK sites.
3. Oversee business insurance process with our insurance brokers, and UK Border Agency sponsor license management, including visa monitoring.
4. Support recruitment processes, absence management, and other HR processes such as maternity/paternity leave.
5. Provide administrative support including travel bookings, meeting minutes, and handling purchase requests.
6. Contribute to the development of HR policies, guidance, and support projects like community and charity activities.
Your qualifications and skills:
1. HR administration experience, with a solid understanding of HR activities and processes.
2. Minimum NVQ III (or A-level equivalent); a CIPD Foundation Level Diploma in HR is desirable.
3. Strong communication skills are essential for handling inquiries from employees, external parties, and third-party suppliers.
4. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage stakeholder expectations, and work under pressure across multiple locations.
5. Must be able to provide timely support to the wider HR team, balancing conflicting priorities.
6. Confidentiality, discretion, strong analytical and digital skills, attention to detail, and proactivity.
