We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney:
1. James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH)
2. Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH)
3. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH)

Main Duties of the Job
The Data Warehouse Implementation Lead will have extensive experience in data warehousing development, SQL Server Management Studio and data architecture. They will be responsible for the delivery of the Meditech data warehouse strategy, development, and management within the EPR Core Informatics team and manage the team of developers, leading them in the analysis, requirements, design, development, testing, enhancement, documentation, and ongoing support of development and reporting requests. They will need to work closely with the three Trust's data warehouse and technical teams to support their continuity of reporting, taking account of their local needs when developing any plans.
Job Responsibilities
* Leads the discussions with stakeholders to understand extremely complex reporting needs across multiple existing systems and sites. Applies Meditech build and design expertise to analyse current business practices to enable full documentation and provide the recommended reporting solutions.
* The role will be the lead on advice, guidance, and insight into the correct application of NHS data dictionary and rules within the data warehouse environment to ensure maximum compliance within the Meditech build, data integration, data warehouse development and retention of legacy systems and associated data flows and data warehouses. Insight into the NHS, its reporting requirements and the data are therefore essential.
* This is a key team management role within the EPR Business Intelligence Team. They will work with the members of the three trusts Informatics teams, EPR team and clinical and operational management teams to ensure a consistent approach to the implementation of the trusts digital and information reporting strategy.

Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent experience relevant to the role.
* Postgraduate qualification (master's degree) or equivalent experience or qualification in relevant area or equivalent experience in a Health Informatics environment.

Skills
* Expert and in-depth knowledge of data warehouse and reporting development frameworks. Expert and in-depth knowledge and experience of programming languages, SQL Server Management Studio and scripting languages.
* Ability to write advanced, complex relational and multidimensional SQL queries and complex stored procedures.
* Expert knowledge and understanding of mandatory reporting requirements, NHS data standards and definitions.
* Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal - able to identify key points from complex issues and explain them appropriately and with clarity.
Experience
* Experience of managing, developing and recruiting staff. Extensive experience with Business Intelligence development lifecycle.
* Experience and understanding of data quality issues within the NHS and how to resolve them. Experience of managing projects including use of project plans, identifying risks and issues and mitigation plans.
* Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, documentation and methodology development. Evidenced experience of communicating complex issues and data concepts to a range of people.
