Resident Hotels is a specialist Hotel Management platform that manages three hotel brands: The Resident, Sleeperz, and Cityroomz. We currently manage 10 hotels across these brands.
Role Overview:
As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in statistics, mathematics, and computer science to analyse our vast data repositories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build predictive models, and develop algorithms that enhance our business operations and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and analyse business requirements to create data models and ETL processes.
* Build accurate, reliable, interactive, and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI and other software.
* Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from complex datasets.
* Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize business processes and outcomes.
* Clean, pre-process, and manipulate large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
* Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for data-driven decision-making.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions.
* Provide training and support to end users on BI tools and solutions.
* Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
* Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science.
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Proven experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
* Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and libraries.
* Solid knowledge of statistical methods and their applications in data analysis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft BI stack.
* Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Willingness to travel across Group sites and attend external meetings (some overnight stays may be required).
