Delivery Manager - Water Consultancy
RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join our Water Consulting business. This will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to help us meet our clients’ needs.
Our Water Consultancy business has a range of prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond, where you’ll be securing your career for the next 20 years, leaving a lasting legacy!
About You:
As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Delivery Manager is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.
As well as supporting the day-to-day operations, the Delivery Manager will support, develop, and manage growth within the Trunk Main Conditioning (TMC) Team .

Your Responsibilities:
1. Manage the TMC delivery programme within our Water Consultancy business.
2. Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.
3. Manage the health, safety, and well-being of our field-based teams.
4. Safety, ethics, integrity, and the environment – always embraces and upholds RPS's high professional standards, and advocacy - an ambassador for our wider business at all times.
5. Manage the day-to-day running of field staff members initially, with a view to this increasing in line with our growth plan.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
6. Clean Water Networks – knowledge and understanding of network hydraulics and asset types found on these networks.
7. Experienced in highway working NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification.
8. Experience and awareness of managing work in high-risk environments highways.
9. Team leadership - experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes.
10. Communication – high emotional intelligence - listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills.
11. Strive to exceed client aspirations and are goal-driven.
12. You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment.
13. You will have proven experience managing performance and be able to implement change.
14. Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.
15. Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
Qualifications:
16. A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered.
17. IOSH managing safely.
18. A full UK driving license is also essential.
