Main duties of the job This is a clinical post providing dental care to patients of the Primary Care Dental Service within Dorset. You will work as part of a team to provide care for our service users, those patients with dental needs outside of general dental practice (GDP) care, as well as a variety of work including domiciliary, urgent care and general anaesthetic The service provides care for adults and children with Additional Needs and Learning Disabilities, including medically compromised patients who require treatment in a specialised setting. The post will be based at either our Special Care Dentistry Department at Dorset County Hospital, or our new purpose built clinic in Poole, although there may be on occasion a need to travel to and work from the other. In addition, your role will include domiciliary care for patients in their own homes, nursing and care settings.
