The University of Nottingham is seeking a Senior Library Adviser to join the Collections team within the Content and Discovery section. This role is based at King’s Meadow Campus and involves managing and developing library collections to support teaching and research needs across the university. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop library collections in line with teaching and research needs. Facilitate access to various information resources and co-ordinate stock selection and movement. Build and maintain relationships with academic staff, serving as the main point of contact for collection management. Assist with email enquiries regarding resource availability and support reading list maintenance. Review physical stock in libraries to optimize space and resource access. Requirements Experience in library collections work or a related field (e.g., Acquisitions, Metadata, Subject liaison). Good knowledge of core IT systems and a commitment to delivering professional services. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Knowledge of online reading list creation is an advantage. This is a permanent, part-time position of 18 hours per week across 3 days, with flexibility in working hours.
