Job summary Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity for 9 months The Oncology and Haematology Directorate consists of Outpatients within the Colney Centre, Mulbarton Ward and Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy treatment areas. Paperless processes are in place for chemotherapy treatments and in development for radiotherapy with a dedicated software system including electronic paper records. The department has a year on year increase in new referrals and treatments and has recently expanded the radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment areas. Main duties of the job This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Haematology department as the Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC). The successful applicant will provide consistent patient-centred focus throughout the pathway of care for patients on a Haematological cancer pathway, whilst ensuring to capture Cancer Waiting Times data for the Trust and Cancer Registry. The successful applicant will work closely with their MDT Coordinator/Clinical colleagues to ensure all relevant patients are meeting their cancer targets by adhering to the 31 day and 62 day targets. We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a great attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have to demonstrate their experience in organising and prioritising workloads.
