As part of its ongoing growth and commitment to excellence, the firm is seeking an accomplished legal professional to join as Deputy Head of Conveyancing, with a clear path to Partnership for the right candidate.
Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a well-established and thriving conveyancing department. You will work closely with the Head of Conveyancing to oversee the team, manage complex transactions, and contribute to the department's strategic direction.
The role is designed for an ambitious professional who is ready to take their career to the next level by assuming significant responsibility and helping drive the firm's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
* Department Leadership:
o Lead and inspire a team of legal professionals, including solicitors, paralegals, and support staff, ensuring high performance and consistent delivery of exceptional client service.
o Implement and maintain best practices in compliance, quality, and client care.
* Client Relationship Management:
o Manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, including high-value and complex matters.
o Build and strengthen client relationships by providing expert advice and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
* Strategic Development:
o Collaborate with the Head of Conveyancing and senior leadership to identify and implement growth strategies for the department.
o Actively participate in business development initiatives, including networking, marketing, and client retention efforts.
* Operational Oversight:
o Monitor team performance and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet client expectations and deadlines.
o Contribute to the firm's overall profitability by driving operational improvements and identifying new revenue opportunities.
Person Specification
* Experience & Expertise:
o A qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer with extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
o Demonstrated ability to handle complex and high-value transactions independently.
* Leadership Skills:
o Proven track record in leading and managing a conveyancing team, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
o Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the departments and firm's long-term vision.
* Client-Focused:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
o A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service delivery.
* Commercial Acumen:
o Business development expertise with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new opportunities.
o Ability to contribute to the financial success of the department through efficiency and innovation.
