Behaviour Teaching Assistant Location: Scunthorpe Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs to achieve their full potential? GSL Education are seeking a committed Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Scunthorpe. This role involves working closely with students to provide targeted assistance that encourages positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Whether you’re supporting students on a one-to-one basis or helping maintain a focused classroom environment, your efforts will play a pivotal role in their educational journey. Behaviour Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with behavioural challenges in both one-on-one and group settings. Help implement and monitor Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) and Education, Care, and Support Plans (ECPs). Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behaviours and emotional regulation. Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents. Support the school’s commitment to creating an inclusive and safe environment for all students. Qualifications and Skills: CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is desirable. A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous. Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges or as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant is highly beneficial. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
