These full time posts are available from January 2025 to 31 December 2025. The post The Faculty wishes to recruit two Postdoctoral Research Associates to support the work of the Digital Archive of the Middle East (DAME) Project, a joint research project between the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies (IAIS) at the University of Exeter and the Institute for International and Area Studies (IIAS) at Tsinghua University. The successful applicants will be expected to undertake research drawing upon the archival materials housed at the University that will lead to a publication. About you You will have demonstrable expertise and experience in conducting archival research on the Middle East. Of particular interest are candidates with research experience on Palestine or the Gulf region. You will also be engaged and familiar with contemporary debates around the ethics of archival research and the potential and limitations of digitisation as a research methodology.
