In this role, you will collaborate with the wider data teams within this area, leveraging machine learning and AI techniques to deliver data driven insights to our stakeholders across the business and provide tailored actions to our customers.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to become a key part of our UK Customer Data Science team.
What is UK Customer Data?
The UK Customer Data area focuses on providing actionable insights to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction, measuring customer and commercial value beyond single product lines for UK products.
Our aim is to provide insights, analysis and data storytelling that enables data-driven decisions within the business to enhance customer lifetime value by leveraging data and technology, in turn improving customer satisfaction and engagement.
We are dedicated to ensuring that the customer remains central to everything we do, embedding customer-centric service design, and developing a holistic view of the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building machine learning solutions to solve an array of complex problems across our customer space, including initiatives such as Customer Lifetime Value, Customer Churn, Next Best Action, and Customer Segmentation.
2. Partnering with stakeholders across the wider department to identify future opportunities and priorities, harnessing the power of data science.
3. Championing the impact of your work, through relevant and clear reporting and monitoring of new and existing models.
4. Collaborating with the wider Data Science and AI Community, exploring innovative concepts and keeping up to date with technological advancements in machine learning.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
1. Consistent track record as a Data Scientist, or equivalent role, with previous experience in customer analytics.
2. Experience in the end-to-end building and deployment of machine learning models into production.
3. Proven experience with statistical methods and data science techniques: Generalised Linear Models, Gradient Boosting Algorithms, Neural Networks etc.
4. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to analyse large datasets.
5. Strong ability and experience in using Python for analytical purposes.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable:
1. Familiarity with cloud computing, specifically Google Cloud Platform and its services.
2. Experience in insurance or financial services.
3. Experience using Adobe Experience Platform.
