About the Role: Are you passionate about Technical? Looking for a new challenge? As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to accurate customer specifications and adhering to legislative standards across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Specification Technologist to join our Technical Team, based at our Brackley site. The role is Hybrid and you will be based from one of our Midlands sites (ie. Brackley). Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00. What will you be doing as a Specification Technologist at Avara? As a Specification Technologist, you’ll be responsible for creating specifications for a range of customers, reviewing and approving artwork as well as ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy. Working within a team you will build strong working relationships across our customer and colleague base. What will your key responsibilities as a Specification Technologist include? Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications Work closely with NPD to integrate with the NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches Internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers What you’ll need to be successful: Food related Further Education qualification Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
