Long-Term Teachers have a unique opportunity to make a real difference at a vibrant special school, supporting students across all key stages. The school is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic learning support assistant to provide essential support across the school.
About the role:
As a learning support assistant, you will be providing general support, including one-to-one support and small group interventions when needed. The students you will be supporting have a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, attachment issues and speech and language difficulties. You will be placed according to your strengths.
A learning support assistant works closely with the class teacher, helping to plan lessons, prepare materials and manage student behaviour. Therefore, you must be confident in managing challenging behaviour and taking responsibility for the learning that occurs.

* Experience: Previous experience working with children in the UK, whether in early years, primary or secondary education.
* SEN knowledge: A strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support young people
* Personal qualities: Resilient, adaptable, hardworking and possess a good sense of humour.
* Professional growth: A willingness to develop your knowledge and skills further.
* Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing plans at short notice
* Able to drive and have access to your own vehicle
This role is perfect for university students, experienced TA’s looking for a new challenge or anyone wanting to work around their current schedule.
