Industry BDs are responsible for building the automotive and/or manufacturing business in Korea. They understand and can explain business trends affecting the industry and how those challenges manifest and impact our customers. They speak the language of the customer; possessing excellent business acumen, and focus on business outcomes on behalf of those customers. Furthermore, they have domain knowledge of operations, systems, applications, and technology partner solutions in the industry with an ability to dive deep on business processes and technologies key to the line of business, outside of IT, in an enterprise. BDs apply their domain depth and experience, focusing on inventing and simplifying solutions that delight customers and raise the bar for what's possible. They map business requirements to appropriate solutions and AWS services to effectively address and resolve customer challenges.
Key job responsibilities
The AWS Automotive and Manufacturing Business Developer drives year-over-year (YoY) business growth on net-new Lines of Business opportunities. Supported by their Solutions Architect peers, the role owns a pipeline target distributed across Korea through strategic account planning and gap closure initiatives, e.g, workshops and proof of concepts (POCs). Success metrics include developing net-new opportunities per BD specialist, delivering measurable customer outcomes through high-value engagements like Customer meet-ups, demonstrating thought leadership, and driving field enablement through Go-To-Market Scaling campaigns, Industry Days, and Boot Camps.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
* 5+ years of professional or military experience
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
* Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
* Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
* Experience with technology transformation initiatives
