About the role
As Senior Librarian, Monographs and Digital Collections, you will be responsible for acquisition and access of mainly non-subscription resources, and textbooks in print and electronic formats. Your primary focus is to develop and test new or improved workflows and/or software, implement metadata standards, and troubleshoot advice for highly complex resources due to the integration of multiple systems or databases.
You will also lead library collection related projects aligned to strategic outcomes to provide excellent customer services. Technological advancements, such as AI will be an integral part of the role.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of automated Library systems (preferably Ex Libris products), with an understanding of library resource data formats, industry description standard types and schemas.
2. Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders to resolve complex troubleshooting, workflow implementations or software implementations.
3. Proven problem-solving skills, including critical analysis and evaluation of complex processes, as well as emerging practices.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead library collection related projects aligned to strategic outcomes and provide excellent customer services.
5. Established record of adopting a flexible approach to work and adapting to a constantly changing work environment.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop acquisitions and access workflows which integrate multiple systems or databases.
