The successful candidate will co-ordinate the effective and efficient administration of all activities in relation to progress, assessment, student support and guidance including relevant aspects of quality assurance in the Centre for Medical Education, according to the principles espoused in ‘Promoting Excellence’. This is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
* *A primary degree (or equivalent qualification) OR Evidence of substantial relevant management or administrative experience.
* *3 years recent relevant experience at an appropriate level within a higher education, public sector orhealthcare environment. This should include:
o Experience in a professional administrative role in the management of office/student administration.
o Experience in analysing complex data.
o Line management including organising and directing others ensuring work is completed to the required timescales and standards.
o Organising and time management, planning and organising complex administrative processes.
o Servicing of and progressing work through committees.
o Budget management.
* Ability to develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant assessment, student support andquality assurance regulatory frameworks and requirements, and translate them into practice.
* Proven ability in providing advice and guidance to students, in support of their wellbeing and/or academicprogression with awareness of the sensitivities and confidentiality.

The is post is available for up to 11 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
