What Youll Be Doing As a Senior Business Development Manager for our clients Electrical Division, you will be responsible for developing and managing the sales pipeline. Your focus will be on growing long-term, profitable business by researching and identifying potential new accounts that align with the companys strategy.Your responsibilities will include: Leading and contributing to the acquisition of new accounts, including delivering presentations, engaging in negotiations, and ensuring follow-up with necessary documentation. Visiting customer sites to present services and assess their requirements. Setting up new accounts by creating accurate records, preparing required documents, and communicating agreed terms of business and service standards. Managing the overall sales pipeline to achieve sales targets. Contributing to the development of effective business strategies, priorities, and market propositions by leveraging your knowledge of local markets and competitors. Supporting Account Managers in identifying and prioritising new business opportunities with existing accounts. Assisting in the development of marketing strategies and initiatives to raise awareness and generate leads. Ensuring compliance with sales excellence standards, best practices, and all legal and regulatory requirements. What Youll Need To join our clients team, you will need: Extensive experience in technical B2B sales with a proven track record of securing contracts worth over £1m. Knowledge of the Electrical or Facilities Management industry. Highly effective sales, communication, and presentation skills. Experience managing bids, tenders, contract negotiations, and opportunity pipelines. Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiating skills. A methodical approach with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet targets. The ability to act as a role model for less experienced colleagues, offering support and expertise. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with detailed proposals and CRM systems (experience with MS Dynamics is an advantage).
