The Opportunity Stonebridge has an opportunity for a commercially astute senior quantity surveyor / commercial manager, who has experience of major engineering projects. The role will be UK based but will require travel within the UK and occasional overseas assignments. Responsibilities Undertake fee earning assignments in the UK and overseas, as required Providing Contractual and Commercial management and reporting services, including: Contracts administration and case building Contracts drafting and document preparation Contractual and commercial reviews, audits and due diligence Sub-contract management and administration Establishing and implementing commercial management strategy Cost control, analysis, reporting and forecasting Variation and change management Final accounting and negotiation Defining and setting project procurement strategy and policy Proficiency in cost/value analysis and quantum calculations Providing clients with strategic, tactical contractual and commercial advice, risk and opportunity analysis and management Providing dispute resolution and claims management services, including: Arbitration and Litigation support Alternative dispute resolution Assist in sourcing, managing and developing business opportunities, securing business and developing international client relationships Implement and adhere to Company procedures in the management, delivery and administration of Services To be successful, you will have the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in some of the following areas: Professionally qualified and chartered in a relevant discipline, additional qualifications in Law, Arbitration, Mediation, Expert Witness desirable but not essential Considerable practical experience of major projects and assessments and managing discipline-based business including exposure to solving a range of operational and strategic business problems, including budget management Experience of major claims and disputes on large and complex projects Working knowledge of legal principles and practice of forensic delay and disruption analysis as a means of evidencing cause and effect Skilled and experienced in evaluation and evidencing financial quantum, delay and disruption costs, damages, losses and expenses Understanding of partnering, frameworks and bespoke procurement methods Strong knowledge of relevant national and international industry standards, contracts, methodologies and procedures Experience in major infrastructure projects, for a range of Clients in various construction market sectors Proven ability to build, maintain and develop relationships with key clients Ability to identify appropriate opportunities and prioritise efforts in achieving targets What we offer in return: Competitive salary and benefits Exciting opportunity to grow with the business Work with a diverse, friendly and resourceful team on interesting and challenging projects in the UK and internationally We value work-life balance and offer hybrid working arrangements Continuing professional development - we strive to offer opportunities for training and growth, which is at the heart of our culture An environment where the support and care for the wellbeing of our people is important to everyone We believe in creating a work environment of mutual trust, respect, diversity and inclusion.
