Would you like to work in a “harmonious community” where “pupils are keen to learn and respectful to all”? (Ofsted). Would you like to work at a forward thinking Grammar School providing students an opportunity to improve their life chances? The candidate should be confident that Borden is a successful, exciting and supportive place to work.
Borden is actively seeking a highly competent and skilled professional with a love of their subject. All three sciences are highly achieving and highly popular subjects at both GCSE and A Level, resulting from a challenging curriculum combined with a reflective pedagogy. The candidate will be part of a successful department and should be able to teach all Key Stages, with the potential of offering A level if they wish to. Extra-curricular projects are commonplace within the department; robotics club, science club trips to CERN and the Kent science park are examples that help enrich students’ experience in the subject. Any successful applicant would be expected to contribute to this ethos.
The post is equally suited to somebody seeking to join the profession or looking for career development by securing a new post in an excellent school. You would be joining a strong team of specialists, focused on pedagogical improvement and passionate about creating a love for their subject. The candidate should be confident that Borden is both an exciting and supportive place to work.
Closing date: Midday on Tuesday 6th May with interviews taking place w/c 11th May
Interested candidates are welcome to telephone the school or to arrange a visit to the school - please ask to speak to Mrs K Murphy, HR Assistant to make arrangements.
