An exciting opportunity has come available for a PR Manager to join our Marketing department on a 12 Month Maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, this position will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s reputation and public image. As the PR Manager for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand visibility and reputation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of public relations which will include: Media Relations & Communications, Campaigns & Events, Crisis Communication Management, Charity CSR & Sustainability and Team Leadership. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Responsible for crafting and maintaining positive relationships with the media, journalists, media outlets, influencers and the public. Develop and implement a proactive PR strategy aligned with wider business objectives. Manage press releases, media statements, interviews, and opinion pieces. Plan and execute PR campaigns for product launches, partnerships, and business updates. Organise and manage press trips and day events, reviewing and re-working accordingly. Develop and maintain crisis communication plans to protect brand reputation. Manage the business’ charity strategy aligned with both business and CSR objectives. Support internal teams in promoting Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Sustainability strategy and initiatives. Oversee, support, coach and mentor the Executives in the Brand Team, ensuring their work is to a high standard and of good quality. To be successful in the position you will need: Proven experience in PR, Communications, or Journalism. Experience managing PR campaigns, press events, and influencer partnerships. Knowledge of media monitoring tools and PR analytics. Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Excellent writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives. This is a 12 Month Maternity cover position, working Full-Time (35 Hours Per Week) based at our Head Office (Fred Olsen House, 42 White House Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5LL) offering a hybrid work pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
