About the role:
We are looking for an organised and committed Dispensary Assistant to join our Dispensary for Dermatica in East London. You will be working closely with our Pharmacist and packing teams to ensure all Dermatica orders are dispensed and dispatched on time, to meet company targets and achieve customer satisfaction goals. If you enjoy working cross-departmentally and are a self-starter with strong communication skills this role would suit you perfectly.
The hours for this position are full-time Monday - Friday 9-5pm, you will also be required to work 8-12pm on a Saturday, once a month.
What you'll be doing:
* Carry out all dispensing activities such as printing, dispensing, processing OTC orders, packing, and dispatching in accordance with a prescription by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complying with all legal requirements. This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be added.
* Carry out non-dispatch activities such as making boxes, processing returns, printing and folding GP letters, and replenishing stock. This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be added.
* Accurately maintain Patient Medication Records (PMR) to ensure patient safety and in accordance with data protection requirements.
* Identify medicine related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the Responsible Pharmacist.
* Work with all functions across the organisation and respond to slack messages in a timely and accurate manner.
* Assist with stock control and receive stock in accordance with SOPs.
* Ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines.
* Perform regular stock date checks to ensure medications are selected in the correct order.
* Perform regular stock checks to ensure there is adequate stock to fulfil the pharmacy's requirements and inform senior dispensers if stock is running low.
* Process returned orders and log the stock in the issues log.
* Organise batch sheets considering treatment's expiry dates.
* Assist with stock counting for the supply chain function when required.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Have completed the NVQ level 2 Dispensing Assistant or work towards the qualification.
* Have a positive and can-do attitude.
* Working well with targets and tight deadlines.
* Previous experience within a pharmacy and a fast-paced start-up.
