Job Description
Our client, a leading supplier within the Construction sector, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their existing team. This newly created role will play a key part in revenue growth through the acquisition of new corporate accounts. The role will be based primarily from the company’s Leicester office with 2-3 days a week field-based in the East Midlands area.
As the Business Development Manager, you will report directly to the Sales Director, delivering the agreed sales strategy to increase market position and drive revenue. You will use your market knowledge, industry contacts, and sales pipeline management to acquire and grow key client accounts.
Responsibilities
1. Develop a robust pipeline of potential clients by building and strengthening relationships with corporate and wholesale customers.
2. Collaborate with the Telesales team to maximize sales opportunities and leads.
3. Work alongside internal teams including Marketing, Finance, and Operations to provide market insights and assist in pricing strategies.
4. Explore new sales initiatives while ensuring that targets are consistently met and exceeded.
You will have:
* Proven sales experience within the Construction industry.
* Strong networking and customer service skills.
* Commercially focused with extensive industry knowledge.
* Expert sales negotiator and confident managing own budgets.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems.
* Hold a current driving licence.
The salary on offer is a basic of £40,000 with an uncapped commission structure and company car or car allowance plus other benefits.
