The opportunity We have an opportunity for a Level 6 Apprentice Transport Planner to start in Summer/Autumn 2025 to be based in our Reading office. In this role you will be working within our Infrastructure division. As an Apprentice at Stantec, you will be part of an industry leading programme designed to develop the best engineers. You will work with experienced industry professionals, who will guide and mentor you through the initial phase of your career. In this role, you will provide support to senior staff working on projects and plans relating to all kinds of transport systems. You'll be involved in the design and delivery of some of our projects from start to finish. We will teach you how to use relevant software and programs that will be form an essential part of your skill set, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) to produce drawings for building and infrastructure projects. You will also learn technical skills such as producing calculations and report writing, that will directly support our clients. Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification. You'll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending university on day release. You will gain a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree with a Transport Planning focus. About you: For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you. Qualifications: For our Level 6 apprenticeship you will need either: - 3 A Levels equating to a minimum of BBC, one of which must be Maths at Grade B or above - A BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering - DDM to include Further Engineering Mathematics We also look for someone who is: - A Striver: Exhibiting ownership, consistently delivering on tasks and objectives. Please note, we ask our Apprentices to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that colleagues are able to provide the appropriate level of support.
