Event Support Role at Green Alliance
This position is part of Green Alliance's communications team, working closely with the head of communications, the events and engagement manager, the senior press officer, and the communications officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Support
* Provide logistical and administrative support before events, including venue research, invitation tracking, and document circulation.
* Assist with speaker briefings by gathering and compiling relevant details.
* Coordinate event materials, printing, and travel arrangements.
* Support on-site at events, handling registration, venue liaison, and Q&A mic management.
Contact Management Support
* Assist with uploading attendee information to the database.
* Maintain contact lists by regularly updating the database.
Additional Responsibilities
* Participate in all-staff planning and training sessions.
* Perform other tasks as reasonably requested within the scope of this role.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience in assisting with events.
* Strong multi-tasking skills and experience with managing varied workloads.
* High standard of written English.
* Understanding of good communications principles.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to act on initiative and exercise sound judgment.
* Good organisational skills and time management.
* Flexible team worker.
Desirable:
* Interest in and understanding of environmental issues.
* Experience working in an office environment.
