Currie & Brown is currently looking for a s enior p roject p lanner role based out of our London infrastructure team. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of project planning service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our client, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred consultant and service provider. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in the p roject m anagement team assisting in the successful implementation and delivery o f large and complex projects. You will be working onsite in Surrey 3 days per week. Responsibilities for the successful candidate s will include: P rovid ing a p lanning and p rogramming service to both external and internal clients, from feasibility stages through to C&Q post completion and occupation, ensuring that all time - related issues are effectively considered and can be controlled or addressed Provid ing consultancy advi c e on all programming and monitoring issues Prepar ing high - level strategic programmes to identify and assess the impact of key sequence, responsibilities and key strategies Monitor ing and report ing against programmes at all stages of pre-construction and construction, including the use of S-curves, trend analysis, baselines, c ritical p ath analysis, rescheduling, etc Undertak ing analysis of tender and contract programmes from c ontractors Prepar ing c ritical p ath analysis Establish ing sequence, durations, and options for all stages of projects including design and procurement, legal, financial, gateways, construction, commissioning and qualification Development of ambitious What-if scenario planning, in close association with Works Contractors and Construction Management, with acceleration of outcomes in mind Monitoring and advising the Construction Management effort on multi-faceted key Trigger points, obtained from liaising closely with Contractors Accurate and independent appreciation and reporting of current Works status Co-ordinat ing with project teams including clients, project managers, cost consultants, design and other consultants and contractors, to negotiate and co-ordinate project programme issues Provid ing consultancy advice on delay mitigation and undertake comprehensive delay and forensic analysis activities Develop ing site logistic and phasing management plans Creating r esource programmes to demonstrate key inputs and outputs Assisting with business development and maintaining client relations General requirements Good communicator both verbal and written Minimum 5 years’ experience as a planner Able to extract/compare/analyse data Evidence of ability to develop scenario (what if) schedules Evidence of issue identification - resolution and mitigation Appropriate sustained experience over project lifecycle General understanding of Project Controls and the link between Schedule, Cost & Risk Knowledge of NEC (Preferred) Specific requirements Minimum 10 years MEH experience working on large scale infrastructure/ industrial projects Qualification in Engineering or construction (Preferred) Experience in CAD/ 4D planning (Preferred) About You About Us Our p rogramme s ervices form part of the p roject m anagement department.
