The role In 2025 we are aligning increased focus to our 3 million existing Protection customers who sit across SunLife, Standard Life, Phoenix and Reassure books of business. This team will be responsible for establishing the Protection P&L, with a specific focus on defining and driving the future business model, alongside ensuring we are meeting the requirements of an increased regulatory landscape in relation to this book. This role is perfect for someone, with the relevant experience, that is excited by the opportunity to be part of building a new value centre for the wider group and is comfortable working across the business with the multiple stakeholders we have. You will be lead the Finance and Commercial strategy for the Protection business in alignment with the Group mission to promote informed decision making and controlled risk-taking that improves customer outcomes and delivers long term value for shareholders from the Protection business. You will focus on the identification and measurement of key financial metrics on a forward-looking basis to support product allocation and pricing decisions. You will also be accountable for the monitoring of financial and non-financial risk exposures within Group tolerances and risk policies. What We’re Looking For An experienced Finance Professional, with experience in working within a business unit model Has the appetite to get involved in multiple parts of the protection business, from reporting to strategy to change management Be highly disciplined, with a strong preference for action and recognises the importance of delivering results that align to the objectives of key stakeholders Is skilled in challenging existing business processes to drive the right outcomes for the business and our customers Can build cross business relationships with multiple stakeholders in different areas of the business We want to hire the whole version of you.
