Production Supervisor the role: Ensure the effective management of all production activities, adhering to company policies and guidelines. Lead the entire production team, applying strong people management processes to deliver operational excellence and meet production plans. Cultivate a positive culture of open engagement, skill development, and teamwork. Uphold the company brand and maintain high-quality production standards Key Areas of Responsibility : Team Leadership and Supervision: Oversee the production team, ensuring quality is delivered safely and on-time, by permanent and temporary staff. Optimise labour allocation to efficiently execute the production schedule. Provide consistent and fair supervision to uphold accountability, discipline and strong leadership on the shop floor. Drive team motivation, engagement, and open communication, ensuring clarity on goals and encouraging team members to contribute ideas. Employee Management Conduct performance reviews, emphasising engagement, professional development, and succession planning. Line-manage and upskill a core team of 29 operatives with support from 4 Cell Leaders, while managing seasonal labour as required. Implement and support policies related to HR, including performance management, absence management, formal processes including investigations, disciplinary, grievances, and welfare reviews. Operational Excellence Meet all production targets and KPIs, addressing issues proactively when they arise. Work in collaboration with the Site Trainer to maintain and improve KPIs. Analise data from Plantrun to drive continuous improvement and implement Lean working practices. Communication and Reporting Maintain effective communication at all levels through verbal and written formats, such as daily meetings, shift handovers and documentation of investigations. Build and maintain relationships with other site functions to ensure company goals and standards are consistently achieved. Quality and Compliance Ensure adherence to all quality standards and procedures. Represent Production in internal and external quality audits. Address and resolve process issues in collaboration with the Quality department or escalate them to the Production Manager as necessary. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement Lean or Continuous Improvement practices. Support the Production Manager in ad-hoc project work and tasks as required To be considered for this role you will have: Proven experience in successfully leading a team within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with manufacturing principles and processes. Ability to manage and allocate resources to achieve daily schedules and deadlines. Clear understanding of HSE requirements. Strong leadership skills, with the passion and ability to engage and develop your team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing-specific software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to persuade and influence stakeholders effectively. Proactive approach with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills. Dynamic, solution-orientated and pragmatic mindset. Knowledge and experience in Lean, 6S, or Continuous Improvement principles (desirable).
