A leading developer of fragrances and fragrance applications within the personal care and homecare industries is currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join their commercial team at their Hertfordshire site.
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and leading efforts to establish and retain business growth opportunities, the successful applicant will bring with them experience from a similar role within the fragrance, personal care, or homecare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement commercial strategy for the allocated product/customer portfolio in line with sales and profitability targets.
2. Identify client’s needs and market trends, perform market analysis for new product opportunities, and present ideas or strategies to the customers.
3. Develop excellent relationships with internal and external clients.
4. Provide sales reports and conduct account analysis.
5. Prepare and negotiate commercial offers to drive profitable growth in line with targets.
6. Be a competent partner internally & externally – an expert for the relevant fragrance market in joint brainstorming sessions and workshops with clients.
7. Be a commercial champion for a key category to drive and co-ordinate strategic actions in line with strategic goals.
8. Focus on efficiently maintaining current business and pursuing new business opportunities to meet overall sales growth and performance expectations.
9. Pursue and acquire business opportunities in the fashion retail and digital industries to meet sales targets.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
1. Account management or similar experience from the fragrance, personal care, or homecare industries.
2. Knowledge of relevant markets.
3. Passionate about fragrance with excellent knowledge of fragrance in the target market & categories.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
6. Customer focused.
7. Resilient and eager to learn, with a can-do attitude.
8. Proven negotiation skills.
9. Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.
