An independent school in Salisbury is seeking a Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide essential support to secondary-aged pupils.
Start date: January 2025
Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an educational setting, with a solid understanding of supporting students in a secondary school environment. A strong commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere and assisting students with their academic and personal development is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students, ensuring individual needs are met.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Work closely with students to monitor their progress and provide tailored support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3).
- A strong understanding of secondary education and the needs of secondary-aged pupils.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
