Your purpose will be:
As an In-Room Dining Supervisor at The Savoy Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the In-Room Dining department. You will be responsible for supervising a team of In-Room Dining servers and ensuring exceptional guest service, timely delivery of orders, and maintaining high-quality standards. The IRD Supervisor will report directly to the In Room Dining Manager and collaborate closely with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

As the In-Room Dining Supervisor at The Savoy, you will be responsible for supporting your direct manager in overseeing the In-Room Dining department. Your role involves leading the IRD team to deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring accurate order processing, and maintaining high-quality standards. Additionally, you will conduct staff training and handle guest feedback and complaints. Your responsibilities also include coordinating with other departments, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your crucial role will contribute to creating a positive dining and colleague experience, enhancing the hotel's reputation, and achieving overall food and beverage success.
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
1. Supervise and lead the In-Room Dining team, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high levels of motivation and performance.
2. Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
3. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive working environment.
4. Ensure all guests receive exceptional service during their In-Room Dining experience, exceeding their expectations and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
5. Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to In-Room Dining, taking appropriate actions to improve service and address recurring issues.
6. Oversee the efficient processing of In-Room Dining orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to guest rooms.
7. Collaborate with the kitchen and other relevant departments to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food and beverage orders.
8. Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in food presentation, service etiquette, and cleanliness of dining trays and amenities.
9. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
10. Monitor inventory levels of In-Room Dining supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and amenities, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
11. Develop and implement training programs for In-Room Dining staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
12. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to help them improve their performance.
13. Maintain accurate records of In-Room Dining orders, expenses, and other relevant data.
14. Assist in preparing reports and providing data for management review.
Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role?
15. Proven experience as an In-Room Dining server or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
16. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
17. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, motivation, and performance management.
18. Sound knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, and service techniques.
19. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and make quick decisions to resolve issues effectively.
20. Proficient in using computer systems and software related to In-Room Dining operations.
21. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operational needs.
