Experienced English Tutor
We are looking for an Experienced English tutor to provide online tutoring to our students. The ability to tutor other related subjects is also an advantage.
English Tutor Description:
* Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support
* Provide tutoring for English at GCSE, A-Level, and Scottish Equivalents
* Develop personalised lesson plans based on the individual needs and learning styles of each student
* Provide personalised timelines and monthly progress reports to students and parents in accordance with our company framework
* Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
* Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
* Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs
* Provide a thorough initial assessment and monthly progress monitoring as per our company framework and ethos.
Qualifications:
* Applicants must be studying towards an undergraduate degree in their chosen subject of tutoring.
* Criminal reference check: Applicants must be a member of the PVG scheme (Disclosure Scotland) or be on the DBS update service.
Experience and Qualities:
* Experience working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting or in a tutoring capacity, is essential for our Experienced English Tutor position
* Familiarity with UK Exam boards (AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL, and SQA) is essential
* Familiarity with the examination system at GCSE, A-Level, and Scottish equivalents is essential
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of various teaching methods and learning styles
* Patience and the ability to work well with students of different ages and abilities
* Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs
* Applicants must be adaptable to online platforms including Microsoft Teams.
