We are seeking a confident and proactive Clinical Psychologist to join a dedicated team in the scenic town of Townshend, Cornwall. This unique opportunity is ideal for a professional ready to take the lead in shaping and developing psychological services. You will play a pivotal role in designing innovative pathways for recovery, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed approaches.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Leading the design and implementation of a new recovery pathway, integrating evidence-based psychological techniques.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the pathway meets the needs of the local community.
3. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the recovery pathway, making adjustments as necessary.
4. Providing expert psychological assessments, interventions, and therapies for individuals with a range of mental health challenges.
5. Applying trauma-informed care principles to support individuals recovering from complex psychological issues.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of psychological theories, techniques, and best practices.
7. Working closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to care.
Requirements:
1. Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
2. Proven experience in trauma-informed psychological care.
3. Strong ability to work independently, with the confidence to lead a psychological service.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
5. While prior experience in substance misuse is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of this population is beneficial.
