Position Summary: The "R&D Development Systems" entity, is made up of around 250 people, whose mission is to design, develop and provide support for commercial systems. More specifically, you bring your Visual Analytics expertise to a team of 15 people in charge of the CLARION® solution, a secure cloud-based analytical solution that collects and integrates data from different sources. CLARION® provides a holistic view of collected lab and clinical data and translates that data into actionable insights visualized on easy-to-use dashboards. Within the R&D IT Solutions organization, the Visual Analytics Specialist will successfully build a collection of Analytics Products, including but not limited to automated and interactive visual dashboards and statistical analysis. Main Accountabilities: Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards). Making large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and user-friendly Transforming, improving and integrating data, depending on the product requirements and delivering the data in a useful and appealing way to users Combining the data result sets across multiple Clinical data sources Participation in investigations, in conjunction with the support teams, in the event of questions/problems encountered with customers Participation in the development of corrective/application patches, if necessary Contribution to the technical feasibility, prototyping and definition phases of the projects necessary for the development of the different modules Contributing to the production of necessary documentation in accordance with established rules regarding design control Studies and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree A minimum of five years of experience in data visualization Skills and Qualifications: 5 years of experience in development with one of the leading visual analytics tools on the market (Qlik, Sas, Tableau, etc.) Proficient in SQL, Access, Excel and other data manipulation tools with programming skills in R or Python. Understanding of health care data (Laboratory data is a plus) Knowledge of health care terminology and use of diagnoses etc. Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with visual analytic tools. Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) communication protocols, such as HL7, and an understanding of interoperability in the Healthcare space is a plus Excellent analytical skills Ability to manage contractors during projects Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’ Communication skills, both written and oral Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings Attention to detail
