Lawson Road Surgery are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated practice nurse to provide nursing care to our patients on a full/part time/flexible working basis. Responsibilities will include: Wound care. Venepuncture. Child and adult immunisations. Spirometry. ECGs. Minor illness. Injury management. Management of chronic diseases. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications; Competence to undertake chronic disease management reviews, holding relevant certificates. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS. About Us We are a long-established City Centre practice close to the heart of Norwich with excellent GP-Patient Survey feedback. Our list is size is 8650 which continues to grow with new developments locally. We are a teaching practice and work closely with UEA supporting years 3,4 and 5 medical students. We are a research active practice. We have a CQC rating of Good. We are looking for someone who wants to develop in their role with the support of the practice and colleagues, and who wants to provide a caring and professional service to our varied patient base. The practice team consist of 5 GP partners, clinical pharmacist partner, 2 salaried GPs, 1 GP registrar, nursing team, care co-ordinator, patient services administration team and a range of ARRS from the PCN.
