As the Third in Charge, your responsibilities will include understanding and meeting the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS, as well as ensuring compliance with various regulatory bodies and nursery standards and policy. You will support the management team in smooth day to day running of the nursery and help and encourage the team to develop their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
Support the management team in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and EYFS standards
Step into leadership responsibilities when the Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager are absent, overseeing staffing, ratios, and operations
Lead and inspire the team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the highest standards of care and education
Work closely with parents and families to build strong relationships and ensure effective communication
Assist in maintaining a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive
Oversee and contribute to planning and delivering activities that support children’s learning and development, in line with EYFS guidelines
Support staff with record-keeping, assessments, and other administrative tasksKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or above is essential
Previous leadership experience in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or Deputy
A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
