This role will suit an ambitious Payroll and Accounts Assistant who has gained some commercial experience who is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop their skills. What they need from you as a Payroll & Accounts Assistant Attention to detail – You will understand the importance of accuracy and take great pride in the quality of your work. Organisational skills – You must be able to demonstrate that you are capable of managing multiple tasks and be able to effectively prioritise your work to ensure that deadlines are met. Analytical skills – You should be able to analyse financial data and identify trends and/or discrepancies Problem solving – You will be expected to be able to resolve financial issues and discrepancies. Knowledge of current accounting software such as Xero and other current applications. Effective and clear communication – You will be required to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely with team members, managers and external stakeholders at all times. An ethical and values driven approach – You must be committed to upholding and maintaining the company’s values and ethical standards. What the roles involves Running payroll, p11d’s, expenses and pensions. All daily banking, monitoring, forecasting and reporting – Ensuring the accurate and timely management of a variety of essential activities. Invoice and revenue generation – Requesting income data, calculating invoices for services provided by outsourced advisors and support services producing an accurate and up to date monthly aged debtor review. Cash flow management and forecasting – Helping to prepare monthly cash flow statements and monitoring cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity is maintained for operational needs. Regulatory compliance and reporting – Ensuring that the company meets all its statutory obligations and complies with all legal requirements. Audit support – Providing assistance and support to the Group Financial Controller in gathering supporting documents for audit requests. Please note that the role requires the successful candidate to be DBS checked. Salary/hours: Up to £35,000 per year depending on experience. Working 37.5 hours per week.
