Teaching Personnel have an amazing opportunity to work with a Secondary and sixth form school based in Orpington.
Main Areas of Responsibility
* To establish and be accountable for outstanding provision within the subject area. This includes all programmes, systems, and structures taking account of the academy's vision and values leading to outstanding teaching and learning.
* To be accountable for student progress and development in the subject area across all relevant Key Stages, including meeting student attainment/achievement targets for subject/curriculum area and monitoring and supporting student progress.
* To ensure the provision of an appropriately engaging, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students in the subject area, in accordance with the academy aims and policies, as determined by the Principal and Governing Body.
* To ensure that all school policies and procedures are implemented and applied consistently by all colleagues in the subject area.
* As the PSHE Lead, you will work collaboratively with staff to foster students' wellbeing, emotional resilience, and social responsibility. This middle leadership position requires an innovative and proactive educator who is committed to developing a high-quality curriculum that aligns with our school's strategic goals and values.
* To effectively and efficiently manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial, and physical resources across the subject area (if applicable), with the support and working alongside the Faculty Director.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
* Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience.
* Have proven success in raising achievement.
* Show a high level of ICT skills and experience in how new technologies can be used to raise achievement.
* Have recent experience of involvement in innovative curriculum development.
