Subject Leader Food and Nutrition (Permanent)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food and Nutrition specialist to lead our Food and Nutrition Department. As Subject Leader, you will be responsible for curriculum development, teaching excellence, and inspiring the next generation of food enthusiasts, nutritionists, and chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive Food and Nutrition curriculum across all key stages
· Teach Food and Nutrition across Key Stage 3 - 5
· Monitor student progress and achievement, implementing intervention strategies where necessary
· Manage department resources, equipment, and budget
· Mentor and develop teaching staff within the department
· Organize extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs, competitions, and industry visits
· Collaborate with other department leaders to develop cross-curricular initiatives
· Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
You should be passionate about teaching and results and must be able to demonstrate the experience and leadership quality necessary to be in charge of Food and Nutrition. You will be a Lead Practitioner with a successful track record who is passionate about Food and Nutrition and has the energy and commitment to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues. You will have a clear vision for this role and how you might further contribute to further develop the work of an already very successful department.
