Job Vacancy: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Southampton
We’re hiring for a friendly and welcoming Special Educational Needs school in Southampton, focused on providing a great learning experience for all our students, including those with special educational needs. They believe in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Right now, we’re looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team. If you’re passionate about helping students grow and learn, this could be the perfect role for you! You will be supporting 4-11 year olds with a variety of learning disabilites, social, communication and physical needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
* Helping to deliver lessons that are tailored to students' individual needs
* Assisting the teacher with managing behaviour and creating a positive classroom atmosphere
* Encouraging students' personal, social, and academic development
* Helping set up activities and classroom resources
What We’re Looking For:
* A genuine passion for working with young people
* Experience working with children, ideally in a school or similar setting
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
* A positive, can-do attitude
* A Child Enhanced DBS on the update service (you’ll need to have this at your own cost)
