We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Family Paralegal to join our dynamic team and assist in providing exceptional client care.
Please note this position will be based out of our Sandbach office in Cheshire.
Job Overview:
As a Family Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our Family Law team, assisting with a variety of family-related legal matters. You will work closely with solicitors to ensure the efficient management of cases, helping clients navigate complex family legal issues with empathy and professionalism.

Key Accountabilities
Customer Service Focus
1. To communicate with clients and potential clients in a positive, professional and friendly manner

Handling inbound telephone calls
1. To ensure that calls (internal and external) are answered promptly (preferably within three rings) and professionally
2. To answer inbound telephone calls, assisting the caller and promptly directing them to another member of the team if appropriate
3. To co-ordinate a high volume of calls during peak periods, prioritising work and situations
Information management
1. To take messages where necessary and direct these to an appropriate member of staff in a timely manner
2. To pass on messages to clients and third parties where appropriate
3. To provide accurate information to clients and third parties
4. To respect the sensitive and confidential information disclosed by clients
Staff awareness

Administration & Case Management
1. To provide general administrative support to colleagues where needed
2. To prepare correspondence and documents where appropriate
3. To ensure that the relevant case management systems used are updated promptly and accurately
4. To ensure that client files, both paper and electronic, are organised and stored correctly and securely
5. Ensure that files are kept out of public view (i.e. not left in reception or other client areas) and that window blinds are closed during office closing so that client files are not on view
Package
1. Competitive salary
2. 20 days per annum annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. Additionally, the firm ordinarily closes between Christmas and New Year albeit the firm reserves the unfettered right to withdraw this additional leave as required by business needs. Extra holidays are also given for length of service. For 5 years’ service you will receive an extra day’s holiday and for 10 years’ service a further day’s holiday. Additionally, staff are not required to work on their birthday.

Other Candidate Information
1. The role will be based at our office in Sandbach although there will be a contractual requirement to work at any of our Cheshire offices.
2. Although this role is advertised as a full time position the firm will, upon request, consider whether the role can be conducted on a part time or shared basis.
3. Any offer is conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory reference, a basic DBS check, Social Media Check, Employee Credit Check, Sanctions Check and a check with our Regulatory Body
