About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Repair and Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues within CHEC’s Estates and Facilities, perform preventive and reactive maintenance, implement safety procedures, and maintain accurate records of activities using CHEC Facilities software.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Conduct regular inspections and planned and unplanned maintenance of CHEC’s buildings.
* Perform first-line maintenance on building systems and equipment, including but not limited to plumbing, lighting, and general DIY tasks.
* Liaising with third party contractors to ensure work is completed within agreed time frames.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities via Facilities Software
* Assist with the coordination of building safety and emergency procedures as per H&S policy.
* Respond to calls from the Facilities team regarding maintenance and repairs
* Regularly review building systems and equipment to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
* Regularly travel between sites to conduct general maintenance as requested
