SUMMER 2025 - UKSA - Apprentice EU Watersports Instructor - Various Mediterranean Resorts Location: We have various Neilson Beach Clubs across the Mediterranean Dates: Summer Seasonal Job Introduction This is a watersports instructor training opportunity open to EU passport holders only. Successful applicants will receive full watersports instructor training, leading to guaranteed summer employment with Neilson for a minimum of 2 seasons. REQUIREMENT: EU Passport Holders only COMMITMENT: Successful applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum of 2 full summer seasons. TRAINING LOCATION: The training will take place with UKSA in the Isle of Wight, UK. JOB LOCATION: Neilson Watersports Instructors are based in various Neilson Beach Clubs across the Mediterranean. COURSE DATES: January 8th, 2025 – April 7th, 2025, and then onto seasonal work April-November. SALARY: After completing the training course - The wage starts at £570 PCM gross Shared accommodation flights, meals great overall package. This will increase with additional qualifications experience. INSTRUCTOR TRAINING OPPORTUNITY DETAILS: Neilson is again teaming up with the incredible UKSA Watersports Academy to provide this fully funded EU instructor training program. With over 35 years of experience, UKSA is a world leader in water sports training. The UKSA Watersports Academy is a Zero2Hero course. Completing the course successfully will lead you to a job commitment with Neilson for at least two full summer seasons. This will be the perfect opportunity to put your newfound skills to the test, and we will further develop your experience and qualifications over this period. If you have a passion for water sports, that’s great, but no previous experience in the industry is required. This UKSA instructor training course is a customised, comprehensive training package that will provide you with all the necessary skills to kick-start your career as a watersports instructor with Neilson. All instructor training will take place at the UKSA HQ on the Isle of Wight, with travel, food & accommodation included. COURSE HIGHLIGHTS AND OVERVIEW: 13-weeks instructor training You will qualify as a multi-disciplined instructor able to teach dinghy sailing, windsurfing, and winging You will gain your multihull endorsement and powerboat qualifications You'll receive training on Paddle boards and paddle sports crafts This £4000 course fee is funded by Neilson. WATERSPORTS JOB DETAILS: After qualifying, you'll become a Neilson UKSA Watersports Instructor for the first of two summer seasons with Neilson. You'll work closely with your Beach Team to deliver safe, fun, and engaging Dinghy Sailing and/or Windsurfing sessions for guests of all ages. ONCE QUALIFIED, YOU WILL BE: Delivering outstanding watersports instruction in line with the RYA syllabus and the Neilson programme. Assisting in preparing, organising, delivering, and running activities on and off the water. Preparing suitable experience and ability-based sessions. Ensuring the highest standard of health and safety is adhered to. Advising guests on the practical/safe use of all beach equipment. Taking personal responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and security of all Neilson equipment. Ensuring that the appearance of the beach, the racks and the simulators always meet guest expectations. Organising/hosting social events and briefings. Prepared to move between resorts according to the operational needs of the business. Willing to help and cover in other departments as required by the business. Airport transfers - As the first point of guest contact, you'll be confident and consistently deliver excellent, personable, informative, and efficient airport transfers to and from the resort. Full induction training is provided once your arrive in resort. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Previous experience working in a water sports environment or as a Watersports Instructor is desirable. Previous experience and/or a passion for sports and coaching others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational and time management skills. Flexible to work all the required hours with your team to get the job done well. Ability to deliver fun, engaging, safe and informative tuition. To be skilled in safety procedures and on-water rescue practice. Knowledge of the current Sailing/Windsurfing industry is desirable. Ability to assist your guests with rigging and de-rigging dinghy and windsurf kit. The ability to confidently hold a conversation and instruct in English.
