An exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading FM service providers. CBW is currently looking for a Lead Engineer to be based in the North West to cover mobile contracts throughout the region. The successful candidate will be air conditioning biased, looking after one other engineer on site. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £47,000, plus overtime. You will be required to carry out the following supervisory tasks.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Report directly into the Account Manager.
2. Assist the Account Manager in the "day to day" running of the contracts in the region.
3. The Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all activities within the building are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook regarding the quality of work and Health & Safety.
4. Ensure excellent standards of response to plant failures, completion of assigned work, and proficiently address any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues.
5. Act as a coordination point for the day-to-day activities on site, specialist service partners, and build a relationship with clients/tenants.
6. Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts.
7. Arrange specialist sub-contractors.
8. Management of all reports/site log books.
9. Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits.
10. Attend client meetings if required.
11. Ensure work is issued/completed on satellite sites.
12. Carry out hands-on M&E / Fabric maintenance (50% Hands-on / 50% lead engineer).
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday (40 hour week) 08:00am to 17:00pm
Call out
Requirements
1. Qualified in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration C&G / NVQ Level 2&3 - Essential.
2. FGAS 2079.
3. You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates.
4. A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
5. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
6. Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
7. Offer technical support to the Account Manager, client, and onsite maintenance team.
8. IT knowledge/skills.
9. Able to navigate the CAFM system.
