Main duties of the job The following are the core responsibilities of the administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: a. Maintaining and monitoring the practice online requests from patients usually sent via Accurx. b. Process and monitor the generic email inbox throughout the whole day. c. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately. Covering reception phone lines from 8am- 9am daily. d. Process registration e. Signpost patients to the correct service f. Process incoming and outgoing mail g. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies h. Workflow of medical documents i. Secretary work, including dictation work on Lexacom j. Process all DNA letters in accordance with current policy k. Action GP2GP tasks l. Referrals using the ERS system m. File and store records N. Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary O. Deductions including sending and receiving of paper medical records. P.
