Role: SCADA / PLC Automation Engineer
Salary: GBP40k - GBP60k per year + benefits
Location: Fully Remote, UK
Are you a Manufacturing Automation Engineer looking for something just a little bit different? This is a chance to develop your programming skills and explore the world of AI and Machine Learning.
Join a unique hybrid engineering/ML company that is transforming a huge global industry. You will combine your love of tinkering with robotics and automation with a newfound appreciation for the possibilities of AI and Machine Learning in industrial manufacturing.
This company has rapidly become one of the hottest names in their industry, driven by experts in robotics, automation, and manufacturing. They have successfully combined traditional know-how with cutting-edge data and Machine Learning technology.
You will be joining a charismatic and passionate manager with extensive experience in automation and manufacturing technology. He seeks someone who shares his joy in understanding how things work—someone who is a true engineer at heart. He is looking for a candidate with several years of SCADA and PLC programming experience (Siemens preferred, though Rockwell, Schneider, and Mitsubishi are also acceptable).
You should have experience with both current and obsolete PLC/SCADA systems and ideally possess a good understanding of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL. Any programming experience with Python, C++, or BASIC would be advantageous. However, if you lack strong programming experience but can learn quickly and are eager to enhance your skills, you will still be considered!
Ideally, you will have some experience working within food manufacturing environments. This role will be hybrid, involving time spent between your home, their office in South Yorkshire, and client sites across the UK, so you must be comfortable with travel.
Please apply or call us (google Rebel Recruiters for our number!) to discuss further. We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
