3061 - Deputy Associate Director of Nursing
An opportunity has arisen in CBU 2 for a fixed term/secondment in the Deputy Associate Director of Nursing role.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate effective and compassionate leadership, motivate teams in challenging circumstances (winter is coming!), and is keen to improve/maintain patient and staff experience and safety. The successful postholder will deputise for the Associate Director of Nursing at various meetings and events.
You should have experience as an operational matron; please also ensure that you have permission from your line manager to apply.

* Demonstrate a current in-depth knowledge of the national nursing agenda and professional issues.
* Demonstrate specialist knowledge of clinical specialty underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience.

Qualifications
* 1st Level Registered Nurse or Midwife as appropriate.
* Teaching qualification or demonstrable evidence of equivalent relevant experience.
* Educated to degree level.
* Educated to master's level or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualification within a leadership programme/study or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level.
Experience
* Extensive experience of working at a senior/matron level.
* Demonstrable evidence of specialist knowledge of the professional leadership and management of nurses/midwives.
* Demonstrable experience of leading change & problem-solving in clinical settings, patient care, and experience.
* Experience of standard setting and audit.
* Experience of influencing in clinical practice.
* Experience in undertaking research and/or publication.
* Has led or been part of a research project.
* Trained in Root Cause Analysis.
