RCE Wellbeing Hub is proud to work in collaboration with the games company Ninja Theory. You may know them from the award winning game Senua’s Sacrifice, which fully utilised and embedded the experiences of RCE Wellbeing Hub staff and students with lived experience of psychosis within its lead character – Senua.
Following the success of our Senua’s Sacrifice Scholarship, we are now excited to be able to develop this into our first paid Senua Peer Worker.
Within this jointly funded post between CPFT and Ninja Theory we are able to offer a 12-month fixed term opportunity for one RCE Wellbeing Hub student to become a qualified Trainer and Peer Support Worker.

1. Work alongside RCE Wellbeing Hub students on a 1:1 and group basis to provide formalised peer support to adults with physical and/or mental health challenges. This will primarily be held at one of the Hub bases but may occasionally be online/via phone depending on the peers needs.
1. For 1:1 Peer Support - work towardssetgoals within atime frameof up to 4 weeks. The focus will be around supporting access to community groups and networks that enable peers toparticipatein community/educational activitiesin order tomaximise opportunities for ‘living well with’.
1. For group Peer Support - the focus will be on a specific topic linked to the RCE Wellbeing Hub timetable/event such as anxiety techniques, stress reduction, wellbeing journaling etc.
1. Attend networking/community events to promote the RCE Wellbeing Hub and follow up introductory scoping opportunities with peers and organisations alongside the wider team.
1. Support peers to overcome fears and within a relationship of empathy,trustand honesty, challenging negative self-talk and refocussing on the unique strengths they have.
1. Support and engage peers in the Hubs termly co-production week and whereappropriate utiliseand share your own unique lived experience through the co-delivery ofHubsessions.
1. Be a co-facilitator onRCE Wellbeing Hub sessionsfocussing onour Wellbeing Discovery Programme (WDP)supportinginitial check ins with ateam member andarranging mid and end point check ins independently.
1. Contributeina recovery focussed way toteammeetings where you will feedback progress on yourpeersrecovery goals to the wider team.
1. Act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviour towards other RCE Wellbeing Hub team members, students,peersand carers.
1. Raise awareness of recovery language with Trust staff by modelling positive strengths based, non-discriminatory, non-jargon, non-medicalised language in all areas of work.
1. Engage with Peer Support Development such as Peer Forum, observation opportunities and whereappropriate Preceptorship.
