Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Laboratory Administration Support for the Microbiology Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours:
22.5 Hours per Week
What you will do:
The Microbiology department is a UKAS accredited laboratory, which provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Microbiology service to all hospitals, clinics, health centres and GP’s within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. The population served is approximately 380,000 and we currently perform over 300,000 investigations per year.
You will provide comprehensive, confidential, administrative support to the Microbiology Management Team, Consultant Team and other members of the department over the whole range of the post holder duties, demonstrating a committed and flexible approach to the work environment ensuring all deadlines are met.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this role.
You should be educated to SVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge based experience. You should also have experience in an administrative role in a health care setting.
It is essential that you have a typing speed of 50wpm minimum.
