Having grown rapidly through both organic growth and acquisitions, we are now seeking a driven and skilled finance professional to join our team as the Financial Controller, working closely with the Managing Director. WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY: Full preparation of quarterly management accounts. Liaising with auditors in the preparation of year-end accounts. Liaising with our banking partners on quarterly /annual performance reviews. Balance sheet / creditor reconciliations. Monitoring and analysing key performance daily to track financial performance. Oversight and review of overhead spending and supplier charges. Conducting margin reviews by product/supplier to assess profitability and viability. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Assisting with the collation of payroll information where required. Managing a team of 5 finance/admin staff across the businesses. OTHER AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Managing and developing the abilities of the accounts team. Working with the operations director and MD to improve systems and automate the business where possible. Providing commercial information to the Senior Management team. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED: Strong Sage Line 50 and Excel skills. Strong technical accounting skills. Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines. The ability to objectively analyse data and make recommendations to the MD.
