Job Title: Assistant Care Manager\n Salary: £26k - £28k + Additional Bonuses Based on Excess Profit\n Location: Leeds, LS17\n\nJob Purpose\nMinerva Recruitment is excited to partner with our client in the search for an Deputy Care Manager. As part of the Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a domiciliary care agency, ensuring the highest possible standard of care and support for all clients. As Deputy Care Manager, you will help clients live their lives their way, delivering excellence through passionate care.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nActively contribute to the growth and development of the business\nLead the development of community care practices and procedures\nEnsure the efficient operation of paper-free work systems\nSupport the Care Manager in all operational management aspects\nOversee and support Care Coordinators and staff\nTake responsibility for staff induction and ongoing support\nEnsure the success of quality control systems\nMaintain and improve client care provision, tailoring care plans to individual needs\nLiaise with clients, relatives, and allied professionals\nAssist in preparing management reports\nEnsure mandatory training requirements are met for staff\nParticipate in the on-call system as required\nWork within agreed budgets to ensure business profitability\nEnsure medication is administered per company policies\nParticipate in life planning for clients, addressing their physical, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual needs\nMaintain accurate records and care plans for each clientKey Competencies:\n\nStrong planning and organisational skills\nAbility to manage and allocate care staff workloads effectively\nKnowledge of care policies, procedures, and systems\nExperience in recruitment, staff induction, and training\nStrong leadership and supervision skills\nAbility to manage staff and workloads in high-pressure situationsSkills and Attributes:\n\nExcellent communication skills\nStrong computer and administrative skills\nSound understanding of good care principles and care planning\nAbility to handle stress and adapt to change\nEmpathy, patience, and warmthQualifications and Experience:\n\nCompleted NVQ Level 3 or above\nExperience or understanding of care provision\nFull UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicleAdditional Information\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an Deputy Care Manager to join a forward-thinking, client-focused care agency.
